Google Chrome Native PDF Viewer

Go to the url chrome://plugins in chrome, then find and enable Chromium PDFViewer . This will tell Chrome to use its built-in PDF viewer instead of downloading. After this is enabled, to download PDFs, just press command + S . In Google Chrome go to Settings.

Running Odoo on a Chromebook or in the Chrome browser is how the coders designed it. One problem, Chrome wants to download every PDF instead of letting you open it in browser and printing it. Install Google’s Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer (by Google) as a fix.

Revision. The Docs/PDF viewer has been labelled obsolete. Google recommends trying Google’s “Office Editing for Docs, Sheets & Slides” extension instead. Please note: This extension is already installed on ChromeOS by default. It does not support PDF viewing, that is now built-in to Chrome since v44.
