Charter/Spectrum & ATT Busy Call Forwarding

We get a lot of calls for assistance with “my main phone line is not rolling over to my second or alternate line” so we thought we’d post a solution for all..

On the main line do “Busy Call Forwarding” and reverse the instructions for the other line so if either is busy you get the call.
Here’s what you can do on the Charter/Spectrum phone lines to forward all calls.
  1. On the main line, pickup and enter *90 and wait for the dial tone.
  2. Enter the phone number (second line) you want to forward calls to, including 1 + area code (if necessary).
  3. You’ll hear a confirmation tone when activated.
  4. If you want to deactivate this feature, enter *91 and wait for a dial tone to confirm your changes.
For AT&T DSL phone lines. ( Basically the same instruction but you have to use # key)
  1.  On the main line, pickup and enter *90 then.
  2. Enter the phone number (second line) you want to forward calls to, including 1 + area code (if necessary). Then press #.
  3. You’ll hear a confirmation tone when activated.
  4. If you want to deactivate this feature, enter *91# and wait for a dial tone to confirm your changes.

Keep in mind, with both services you can forward any phone if your phone is busy, including your cell phone or even another service provider.

If you run out of lines please contact Office Pros for many cost effective solutions.
